The boys had a good Christmas. My house looks like Toys R Us threw up all over it! The twins have more toys to fight over.
When I was pregnant with the twins I had this picture in my head of how close they would be and how they would keep each other entertained and sit together sharing their toys. Turns out, even at the age of 1, they fight like brothers!! Crazy, huh?
Lance, my cuddly, snuggly, little boy is a big ol' fat bully! He takes toys away from Austin constantly. He tries to shove Noah out of my lap, and he got in trouble at school because he pinned another (bigger) boy down and took his toy!! What do you do about that? He has no idea that it's wrong. He's just being a selfish, normal toddler. Then, when you tell him no he looks at you with those bright, blue eyes and opens his mouth to give kisses. He knows how to get to mommy already!
Austin, on the other hand, is my little daredevil. He climbs anything he can touch. His daycare actually had to move their plastic kitchen set because Austin kept climbing it. Then, in a matter of 10 hours at home he fell off his toy and bumped his head, then tried to climb off the bed and hit his head again. Of course, he didn't have his helmet on either time. That's how it works!
Noah's turning 5 next month. He's already got a list of things that will change when he has his birthday. These include: Mommy doesn't have to carry him anymore (his feet touch my shins when I carry him--one problem with mommy only being 4'10"), going to sleep in his bed by himself and going to "big" school. (I already had the talk about how he has to wait a few more months). We signed him up for t-ball. He's very excited! I've heard good things about the program. Hopefully, it will go better than soccer, where he just followed the pack of kids around. We'll see!!
